Do you know?

There is 2 kinds of evacuations. Urgent and planned.Afantagé is ever-ready as it’s autonomous.

On average a planned evacuation for yearly exercise consumes at least 6 hours of a participant’s time? Afantagé can help reduce that to 2 hours.

Variable human reactions are the most fluid factor in evacuations.
Therefore, planned evacuation exercised are important to drill tenants into an automatic triggered reaction. Afantagé can help the building managers in these exercises.

Evacuation plans is not complete without a communication plan too.
Accurate data and information especially unaccounted souls, needs to be communicated to first responders.

Lifecycle of an Emergency
Emergency do not just appear one day. They exist throughout time and have a life cycle of occurrence. This cycle is matched by a series of management phases: establish strategies to mitigate hazards; prepare for and respond to evacuations; and recover from effects.

4 Phases of Emergency Evacuations

  • Mitigation Preventing future emergencies and minimizing their effects
  • Preparedness Preparing to handle an emergency
  • Response Responding safely to an emergency
  • Recovery Recovering from an emergency

Fire Evacuation Strategy is composed into 4 Phases

  • Simultaneous evacuation Involves urgent, immediate and total egress
  • Vertical phased evacuation Involves evacuating those closest to the fire and then by floors most exposed to the hazard
  • Staff alarm evacuation (silent alarm) so that different sections can be evacuated in an orderly fashion
  • Defend in place
Includes defending the space from fire where is no evacuation possible without first responder’s help. That is where Afantagé can help locate these victims.
